Role Purpose

As Electrical Tendering Engineer (High Voltage exp.), you will lead the tendering activities for Power & Renewables projects and collaborate with a multi‑functional team to deliver tenders on time, safely, to budget and to the required quality standards. You will compile all required documentation for compliant bids from both in‑house materials and bespoke documents. You will interface with the Business Development, Engineering, Operations and support functions (EHS, Quality, Marketing, Commercial, etc.) and contribute to Kirby’s growth and reputation for engineering excellence. You will have opportunities for professional and personal development to develop leadership in engineering, people and commercial areas.

Responsibilities

- Lead all tendering activities for the Power & Renewables (High Voltage) department
- Understand the commercial fundamentals of a project
- Prepare tender documents and value propositions in collaboration with engineering, construction and commercial teams
- Attend and lead post‑tender meetings
- Coordinate interfaces between electrical and civil engineering for tender requirements
- Review tender specifications and documents, identifying and leading all bid deliverables
- Manage client interface during tender and post‑tender phases, including clarification processes
- Compile and assess technical submittals and tender returns
- Liaise with the Estimation Department on the commercial proposal
- Ensure compliance with relevant business procedures and flag non‑compliance
- Periodically review work practices to identify efficiencies and reduce risk
- Manage tender submittal portals

Necessary requirements

- 3rd level qualification in Electrical Engineering or suitable relevant industry experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a related field
- High Voltage (HV) experience required
- Professional acumen to represent Kirby at senior meetings, presentations and technical workshops
- Strong IT skills with ability to deliver presentations and reports
- Experience managing multiple tenders and interdisciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Positive, solution‑focused mindset
- Flexible to travel
