Role Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead our IT Department. This role will encompass the responsibilities of IT Support and incorporate all aspects of IT Management required for a large company. The IT Manager will work in partnership with our Outsourced IT Service Provider, to deliver an excellent IT function to support the needs of our business going forward.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of IT, including network, connectivity, remote access, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, hardware, phone system, CCTV, and alarm/physical access systems, both within the company's offices and on construction sites.
Track and maintain hardware and software inventory.
Set up and maintain user permissions tracker.
Setup and manage an in-house helpdesk system, providing efficient turnaround and effective resolution on all IT issues, with escalations to the outsourced IT service provider as necessary.
Oversee all IT incidents, downtimes, or outages and manage responses.
Create, organize, and deliver in-house training for staff, including cyber security training, MS training, and Teams training.
Prepare cost-benefit analyses for all IT hardware and software, and manage upgrades as necessary.
Ensure the security of systems, data, network access, and backup systems.
Identify and mitigate risks on the network/systems in conjunction with the outsourced IT service provider.
Supervise and project manage IT maintenance and improvements, software upgrades, etc.
Supervise and project manage the business continuity and disaster recovery plans, including testing and implementation, and various other IT projects in conjunction with the outsourced IT service provider.
Prepare project plans for various IT projects, rollouts, upgrades, enhancements, new software and technologies, and implement in accordance with good project management, change management and change control practices.
Manage and coordinate all 3rd party supplier relationships and monitor performance against agreed service levels. Manage and monitor the performance and SLAs to ensure they offer the best possible service and value for business needs, and negotiate renewals and revised contract terms etc.
Review and continuously update the suite of IT policies and procedures, and IT controls.
Conduct research and development around emerging technologies to ensure continuous improvement of IT systems.
Provide strategic management and leadership to the IT function regarding the implementation of IT best practices, projects, change control, controls, information and data security, cyber security, and IT operational resilience, etc.
Provide strategic management and leadership and a roadmap for the continuous enhancement and development of a best-in-class IT function in conjunction with the outsourced service provider to meet the needs of the business today and into the future.

Qualifications:Essential:
Relevant certifications such as Comp TIA Pen Test+/Security+/Network+/A+, Azure Administrator Associate/Professional, or equivalent.

Desirable:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in information technology or computer science.
Demonstrable interest in continuous professional development.
Project management qualification.
Change management qualification.
Qualifications related to the management of an IT function.

Experience:
The following is the range of experience that is desirable for this role.

Highly experienced in Microsoft Office applications, with the ability to develop and present in-house training.
Deep knowledge of programming and internet languages, operating systems, current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and systems performance monitoring.
Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions.
Five or more years of experience in IT management.
Ability to strategically lead and manage an IT department in partnership with an outsourced service provider.
Experience in managing IT operational resilience, cyber-security, penetration testing, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
Experience in project management and change management.
Experience in developing and maintaining a suite of IT policies for a best-in-class IT function.
Experience in vendor management and performance management, including SLA management.
Experience in strategic management and leadership of a best-in-class IT function to support and drive business growth and transformation.
