What You'll Do as a BI Planning Systems Analyst
In your role, you'll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here's a flavour of your day-to-day:
1. Responsible for financial management reports enhancement and development requests, ensuring reports are created with a strong focus on quality and accuracy of data.
2. Collaborating with key stakeholders to gather and identify information and reporting requirements and translate them into our IBM Planning Analytics planning system requirements.
3. Support the financial planning process with responsibility for running IBM Planning Analytics system update processes, version control, triage of any issues identified and co-ordination of resolution.
4. Support the implementation of Finance report automation, consolidation and pull self-service, actively working to reduce/eliminate Excel spreadsheet-based budgeting and forecasting processes.
5. Support technical enhancements and developments to IBM Planning Analytics, including performing relevant UAT testing.
6. Support the Finance community to get the most out of our IBM Planning Analytics system including training, knowledge-sharing and demonstrating system capabilities.
7. Work closely with Finance Systems accountants and IBM Cognos Analytics Manager to ensure reporting hierarchies are maintained and accurate.
8. Create and maintain up to date documentation in relation to system processes related to budgeting and forecasting.
9. Participate in other ad hoc Finance projects including global projects such as new market entry, as required.
What You'll Bring

1. Educated to a degree level.
2. Previous experience with IBM Planning Analytics powered by TM1 is essential.
3. Demonstrable experience in supporting technical enhancements and developments to BI planning and reporting tools, preferably IBM Planning Analytics developments.
4. Understands requirements gathering, process mapping and the discovery stage of projects and can accurately assess impact on existing systems and processes.
5. Qualified or a part-qualified Accountant with a good working knowledge of the different areas of Finance.
6. Previous experience with Microsoft SQL and visualisation tools is desirable.
7. Good understanding of Data Governance principles.
8. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment i.e., retail or FMCG.
9. Customer centricity with dedication to excellence and value creation.
10. Detail oriented with meticulous attention to detail.
11. Excellent oral presentation skills with the ability to present details to an audience.
12. Excellent written skills with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
13. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
