Our client is a highly specialised Irish company with operations across Europe. Due to continued growth, the Irish HQ is seeking a part-qualified accountant to join the finance team. The successful candidate will support in maintaining accurate financial records, drafting reports and assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks while gaining practical experience and support in achieving their professional accounting qualifications.

Responsibilities

- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts.
- Support with accounts consolidation, management of intercompany transactions, and transfer pricing compliance.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Maintain and update financial records within accounting systems.
- Assist in both internal and external audit processes.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Liaise with other departments to gather and verify financial data.
- Participate in training and development activities related to professional accounting qualifications.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure all group reporting deadlines are achieved.

Requirements

- Working towards a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
- A willingness to learn and develop professionally.
