Your main responsibilities will involve servicing and repairing a range of medical equipment. You’ll apply your technical expertise to identify faults, carry out detailed repairs, and verify that each device complies with our quality standards. All activities must be thoroughly documented and maintained within our internal tracking system.

We are seeking candidates who possess a combination of technical aptitude, formal education, and practical experience.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

This Job Profile is not an exhaustive list of duties for the position holder. It does, however, provide an indication of the main duties and responsibilities of the position.

- Provide technical support to customers (technical and non‑technical), field service engineers, clinical support and our sales team.

- Liaise/communicate with our suppliers in order to help resolve problems or report incidents/issues which require manufacturer input.

- Stock management and administrative tasks.

- Forming part of the workshop team, be responsible for the completion of tasks allocated, using the processes and procedures recommended by the original manufacturer.

- Ensure all activity is recorded on our Service Management system.

Formal Background

- The ideal candidate will have a third level qualification in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, coupled with several years of relevant, hands‑on practical experience.

Core Technical Expertise

- Demonstrable expertise in bench‑level electronic diagnostics, servicing, and repair (a natural aptitude for complex electronics is essential).

- Proven ability in calibration and fault‑finding specifically on medical or similar complex electronic devices.

- Proficiency in using technical tools such as multimeters and soldering stations.

Hardware/Software Acumen

- Experience with the disassembly and repair of complex hardware (medical devices or high‑end IT equipment).

- Familiarity with various Operating Systems (OS), file systems, and the ability to install different types of software.

Documentation & Communication

- Excellent standard of spoken and written English, with strong communication skills for working effectively across internal teams and with external customers.

- Diligent approach to accurately tracking and documenting all technical steps and activity in the in‑house system.

The successful candidate will be required to update their knowledge and skills to fit the changing requirements of the role. Therefore, this Job Description is an outline of the current broad areas of responsibility and accountability and should not be regarded as a comprehensive listing. It will be reviewed and updated in line with future needs.
