Based in Dublin, reporting to the Finance EBA (Enterprise Backoffice Applications) Manager, the Finance Systems Analyst (Projects) is a permanent role and part of a Finance team within a wider cross company team that are tasked with the implementation of new code and functionality deliveries for CLE’s administration system, for both new and existing business, and any linkages to existing peripheral systems. The main purpose of the role is to perform testing, automate existing testing approaches with assistance from Test automation team, ensure a smooth implementation of new functionality and assist in any migration control and reconciliation activities from current systems to the new system. Liaising with people both within and outside the department is a key component of the job.

What you will help us to achieve

1. Re-design, automate and implement aspects of testing process for the business acceptance testing for finance
2. Automate existing testing approaches with assistance from Test automation team and work through backlog of automation activities
3. Perform the testing for regular functionality deliveries along with other team members
4. Review and analysis of testing output of other team members and other teams (e.g. End-to-end testing, Quality Assurance (QA) regression, etc.)
5. Support in review of specifications for new functionality and defect resolution and testing of same for future deliveries
6. Support Financial Operations Team in understanding new functionality and in investigating issues in production when required
7. Liaise with the various teams to ensure successful implementation of finance specific requirements and to assist in the resolving of any queries
8. Other ad-hoc / project work as required within the Finance or project area.

Key Organisational Relationships

The key organisational relationships for the Finance Systems Analyst (Projects) include the following:

1. Cross Functional EBA teams
2. Functional Test and QA Teams
3. Business operational functions such as Finance, Actuarial, Administration and Risk.

What you will need to be successful in the role

1. Knowledge of financial systems, metrics and measures desirable
2. Excellent technical skills to facilitate automation and running of processes and reporting of same (e.g. Power BI, AI, etc.)
3. Excellent analytical, interpretation and problem-solving skills
4. The successful candidate will have a high level of self-motivation
5. Excellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills required as cross workstream role
6. Flexibility, resilience and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
7. Previous experience of system implementation and migration is desirable
8. Financial services experience, in particular life assurance experience, is desirable but not essential
9. A knowledge of German would be advantageous but not essential.
