Senior Speech and Language Therapist
Medforce is delighted to partner with a dedicated Children’s Disability Network Team (CDNT) in Offaly to recruit a part-time Senior Speech and Language Therapist . This role is primarily school based , working in a Special School setting with children who have complex needs and developmental disabilities.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support children in a dynamic and supportive educational environment, while collaborating closely with families, educators, and a wider interdisciplinary team.
About the Role:
As a Senior Speech and language Therapist, you will:
Provide specialist assessment and intervention to children in a Special School.
Deliver individual and group therapy using evidence-based approaches.
Work closely with teachers, SNAs, and families to support communication and feeding needs in the classroom and home.
Support care planning, progress tracking , and participation in MDT meetings.
Mentor and support junior SLTs and contribute to service development within the CDNT.
Requirements for the Senior Speech and Language Therapist:
CORU registration as a Speech and Language Therapist (essential).
Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience , ideally in paediatrics or disability services.
Strong background in managing complex communication needs , AAC, and dysphagia (if applicable).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Experience in school or community-based settings is an advantage.
