Responsibilities
Reporting directly to Vestas’ Head of Sustainability Reporting Compliance, you’ll play a vital role in advancing the company’s sustainability strategy and competitive edge. You’ll contribute your business acumen and analytical strengths to a team focused on delivering robust sustainability reporting, aligning with regulatory expectations, and meeting rating platform requirements. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Leading the preparation and delivery of Vestas’ sustainability statement, ensuring full alignment with CSRD requirements, in coordination with key internal stakeholders.
- Collaborating across departments to craft narratives for specific sustainability disclosures.
- Overseeing regular sustainability performance reports, including quarterly updates and progress reports on sustainability-linked financial instruments, in partnership with Group Finance, Treasury, and Investor Relations.
- Managing the company’s ESG rating platform engagements and submissions.
- Supporting processes related to limited assurance on sustainability data and reports.
- Contributing to the ongoing evaluation and refinement of sustainability targets and commitments, ensuring relevance and ambition.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in sustainability reporting, corporate communications, or integrated reporting in a corporate setting.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field with sustainability embedded in the curriculum.
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical disclosures into compelling narratives.
- In-depth understanding of current and emerging sustainability reporting standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven success in managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders in complex organizations.
- Prior experience in a multinational or international corporate environment.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
