Financial Controller, 6 month contract A prestigious and well-established sports club close to Dublin City Centre is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to lead its finance function on a contract basis. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing day-to-day financial operations, team management, and ensuring robust financial reporting during a transitional period. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, management accounts, and statutory reporting. Lead and support a finance team of three, ensuring accurate and timely month-end close and financial reporting. Maintain strong financial controls. Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships. Provide strategic financial insight to the General Manager and Executive Committee to support key decision-making. Review and improve internal financial processes and systems where necessary. Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders as required. Requirements: Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). 5+ years post-qualified experience in a senior finance role, ideally as Financial Controller or Finance Manager. Previous experience managing small finance teams and working in a hands-on role. Strong knowledge of financial controls, reporting, and budgeting processes. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience in the hospitality or membership-based sectors is an advantage but not essential.
