Job Title: Cost Lead - Pharmaceuticals

About the Role

We are recruiting a Cost Lead on behalf of a leading global pharmaceutical client. Due to a large capital investment and multiple projects, the client requires a Cost Lead to provide timely and robust cost data for informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interface with engineers and management for cost control monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
  • Assist the Project Cost Lead in all aspects of Cost Control Management, preparing weekly and monthly inputs to Project Cost Reports.
  • Convert the Project estimate into the Control Budget and incorporate it into the Project Cost System according to the Work Breakdown Structure.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Cost Management database.
  • Manage and maintain resource schedules and cost estimates by discipline, cost centre, and cost discipline.
  • Educate the Project team on the Budget basis.
  • Facilitate the Change Management program by preparing Trends, Budget Shifts, and Change Orders for review.
  • Provide accurate Cost Coding for Purchase Orders, vendor invoices, subcontractor invoices, and verify provided cost codes are recorded in the Accounts Payable system.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or equivalent industry-based experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar position within the life science sector on major capital projects.
  • Demonstrated skill in identifying, analysing, and solving problems, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Software Proficiency – Microsoft Office, advanced Microsoft Excel, previous Ariba and SAP experience, Primavera Unifier is advantageous.
  • Able to deal with process change and implement new effective processes, working through peers and across organisational boundaries, and influencing at all levels in the business.
