Plant Manager A leading construction company based in Galway is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee the management of all company vehicles, plant, and machinery. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a well-established contractor in a key operational role. The position will be primarily office-based, focusing on the efficient coordination, maintenance, and utilisation of company equipment across multiple projects. Role: Manage the day-to-day operations of all company vans, plant, and machinery. Maintain accurate records of plant allocation, servicing, and certification. Coordinate repairs, servicing, and inspections with external suppliers and mechanics. Liaise with site management to ensure plant and equipment availability for ongoing works. Oversee the purchasing and replacement of equipment and parts as required. Monitor equipment performance, ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance standards. Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting for plant and machinery operations. Ensure all vehicles and machinery are fully compliant with insurance, tax, and health & safety requirements. Requirements: Previous experience in plant or fleet management within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction vehicles, plant, and equipment. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a wider management team. Strong IT and administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Full, clean drivers licence required.
