Overview SSE Renewables are seeking Contract Managers to support delivery of Onshore Wind, Solar & Battery Development and Construction Projects. This role will cover the entire lifecycle of the project process from inception through to handover to our Asset Management division.
Base Location: Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen or Dublin
Salary: £50,100 - £75,100 + car / car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
Responsibilities Provide end to end Procurement support for allocated projects, including preparation of tenders, tender evaluation and negotiation with contractors/suppliers leading to contract execution.
Developing and implementing Procurement and Commercial strategies to optimise business objectives and delivery goals.
Supporting Pre and Post Contract Commercial services to our business stakeholders.
Providing cost reporting, forecasting and budgetary requirements on an ongoing basis, throughout the lifecycle of a project.
Providing cost estimating services in accordance with project maturity guidelines.
Qualifications A degree in quantity surveying or other relevant related degree, or suitable industry experience within the Construction or Renewables industry and may either have, or be working towards, professional membership of a relevant technical or professional body, for example MRICS, MCIPS or MCIARB.
Experience in Procurement, preparation of procurement strategies, compiling tender documentation, managing Procurement events, evaluation of tender submissions and negotiating best value.
Extensive experience in project cost management ranging from estimating and forecasting to budget management. As well as experience in preparation, drafting and negotiation of construction contracts (NEC, FIDIC etc).
Post contract administration experience ranging from payment applications, claims, disputes, commercial programme and risk management.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong commercial acumen, and a continuous improvement mind set.
