Who We Are
The National Maternity Hospital on Dublin’s Holles Street was established in 1894 and celebrated its centenary in 1994. Employing approximately 820 people, it is the largest maternity hospital in the State as measured by annual deliveries and also one of Europe’s largest maternity hospitals. The hospital mainly provides obstetric, gynaecology and neonatal services. The original focus of the service was the poor people of the districts surrounding Holles Street, Dublin; however continuous change has occurred.

Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified individuals for the following posts commencing on the 12th January 2026
REGISTRARS IN ANAESTHESIOLOGY
These are six-month posts based at The National Maternity Hospital, Holles St. Dublin 2.
The following professional qualifications and experience shall apply to these appointments:
a) Applicants must hold active registration with the Irish Medical Council.
b) Have a minimum of 12 months Anaesthetic Registrar experience
c) Experience in Obstetric Anaesthesia preferable
