Role Title:Clinical Nurse Manager II: Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation Co-Ordinator Job Reference Number:001692 Closing Date:Sunday, 16th November 2025 Purpose of the Role: The purpose of this role is to deliver specialist nursing care to patients undergoing haematopoietic stem cell transplantation. The successful candidate will work as a member of the multidisciplinary team providing a patient centred quality and seamless service. St. Jamess Hospital is the National Centre for Adult Bone Marrow Transplantation. The transplantation service forms an integral part of the Haematology Department. In respect of all issues relating to the clinical care and management of our HSC donors and recipients, the post holder must be aware of their responsibilities in relation to the EU Directive 2004/23/EC. The CNM II in Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) is a Registered Nurse who has extensive experience and clinical expertise in haematology nursing. The management of patients and donors involved in the HSCT process demands a broad range of professional skills and knowledge, as well as skills in communication, leadership, teaching, education, research, and counselling. Required: Registered General Nurse with The Nursing Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), or eligible to register. 5 years post-registration experience in an acute hospital setting or relevant clinical area within the last 7 years. Demonstrate management experience throughout the last 2 years. A minimum of one years experience in haematology, apheresis, or bone marrow Transplant nursing. Formal recognised post-registration education in Haematology or Oncology Nursing at level 8 (higher Diploma) according to the Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI), National Framework. Demonstrate I.T. skills including excellent keyboard skills. Experience in teaching and assessing the nursing and HCA team throughout the last 2 years. Desired: Management course. Working knowledge of healthcare patient record systems.
