Qualification:
1. Mandatory: active NMBI pin
2. Possess 2-4 years of post-registration experience in the relevant specialty.
3. Hold a recognized qualification related to the specialty.
4. Have a minimum of 1 year of prior management experience.
5. Completion of a management training program is desirable.
6. Completion of ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) training.
7. Demonstrated clinical and professional competence is a must.
8. Proficiency in various IT applications is required.
9. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently are highly valued.
10. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage effectively with both patients and staff.
11. Proven ability to perform well under pressure.
These qualifications will help ensure the successful candidate is well-suited for the role.
1. Proficiency in analyzing and facilitating improvements in nursing practices.
2. Sound familiarity with operational procedures and protocols.
3. Capability to foresee emerging trends, pinpoint opportunities, and strategically plan for service enhancements.
4. A practical understanding of risk management, clinical audit processes, and human resource practices.
Responsiblities:
1. Oversee and coordinate patient care within the endoscopy unit.
2. Handle the preparation, care, and discharge of patients undergoing interventional endoscopy procedures (Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Urology, and ERCPs).
3. Provide care to patients receiving conscious sedation.
4. Demonstrate proficiency in using and interpreting Aldrete, Ramsay, and Gloucester scoring systems.
5. Successfully complete procedural sedation competency assessment.
6. Utilize the EndoRADD system effectively.
7. Manage drug administration, including accurate recording, dosage calculation, and aseptic IV drug administration.
8. Ensure proper wound management with a focus on aseptic techniques.
9. Handle central lines, Hickman's, implanted ports, and peripheral intravenous cannulas.
10. Streamline the admission process and maintain up-to-date care plans for patients.
11. Efficiently discharge patients while providing all necessary information.
12. Deliver appropriate and timely patient and family education.
13. Effectively manage patients requiring transmission-based precautions.
14. Maintain compliance with nursing documentation standards.
15. Adhere to all Infection Prevention and Control policies and procedures.
Working Hours:
The standard work schedule consists of 37.5 hours per week. Your contracted hours may vary within the timeframe of 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM throughout the week, as needed to fulfill the extended day service requirements outlined in the Framework Agreement.
