Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at the Primary Care Centre in South Laois. The successful candidate will provide specialized services to pediatric clients, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, and communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for children with speech and language difficulties.

- Implement evidence‑based therapy interventions to support children's communication needs.

- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including educators, psychologists, and healthcare professionals, to provide holistic care.

- Engage with families to educate and involve them in their child's therapy process.

- Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with professional standards and organizational policies.

- Participate in professional development and training to stay current with best practices in pediatric speech and language therapy.

Qualifications and Skills

- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy and registration with the relevant professional body, CORU.

- Experience in pediatric speech and language therapy.

- Strong assessment and intervention skills tailored to children’s communication needs.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
