Full job description Job description Role Introduction: The AA is embarking on an exciting growth and transformation phase and is seeking to recruit a Workshop Technician (Mechanic) operating from the SMR Centre in Ballymount. The Technician you will carry out all repair, maintenance and service work as directed by the Service Manager. Key Responsibilities: Undertake servicing, maintenance, and repairs (SMR) to customer cars in accordance with AA & manufacturers procedures ensuring that they are returned in a clean and good mechanical order. Inspection, assessment and diagnosis of vehicle issues. Record accurately details of all repairs and parts used via jobcard/DMS/eVHC Record accurately details job times via jobcard/DMS/eVHC Ensure the cleanliness, maintenance and security of the workshop premises, equipment and vehicles in line with best Health & Safety practices. Answer queries regarding any aspect of the above in liaison with the appropriate staff. Ad hoc duties as directed by the Service manager Minimum qualifications, experience & skills: Qualified motor Mechanic. Sound practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical workings of motor vehicles and an ability to affect repairs. Must have current driving licence and ability to make clear written statements.
