Job Title: Contract Finishing Foreperson Location: Carrigtwohill Contract Type: | Contract up to 5 months Sector: Residential Construction Company: Tier 1 Main Contractor About the Role We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finishing Foreperson to join our team on a high-profile residential development in East Cork. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a Tier 1 contractor known for delivering quality projects on time and to the highest standards. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the finishing stages of the build, ensuring that all works are completed to specification, on schedule, and with exceptional attention to detail. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all finishing trades on site (e.g., carpentry, painting, tiling, flooring, joinery). Ensure high-quality workmanship and compliance with design specifications. Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow. Conduct regular inspections and snagging to maintain quality control. Manage timelines and ensure handover deadlines are met. Maintain health & safety standards and site cleanliness. Report progress and issues to the Site Manager and Project Manager. Requirements Proven experience as a Finishing Foreperson on residential construction projects. Strong knowledge of finishing trades and techniques. Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Safe Pass and Manual Handling certificates (required).
