Role Title: Estimator Location: Kildare Role Type: Permanent Harper Finley have partnered with a market leading Electrical Engineering company to hire an Estimator/QS on a full time, permanent basis, in Co. Kildare. This role joins the tendering & estimating team and will be responsible for reviewing and estimating costings related to tenders and pre contract activities. This role also works closely with subcontractors, and clients. This company has gone from strength to strength in recent years, and this role is key to contributing to that growth. Duties & Responsibilities: Reviewing project documentation, take-off projects, handover and presentation of tender bid to team. Check and acknowledge tender documents and amendments. Selecting subcontractors and material suppliers, and maintaining these relationships, acting as a point of contact responding to queries etc. Appraising sub-contractor/supplier quotations. Develop client / specifier relationships to enhance opportunities to tender, negotiate and enhance tender margins. Updating internal estimating systems and rate pricing documents Identify scope for design alternatives and value engineering, discussing with appropriate bid team members. Price up Prelims, in conjunction with management. Highlight any areas of concern / risk in cost proposal. Complete Form of Tender and tender letter with any qualifications Enter final tender information in tender log and ensure it is maintained. Prepare information packages for handover to construction team, if successful. Attend post tender negotiations with Client. Cost Planning. Undertake project debrief, eliciting feedback from sites, to improve construction. Identification of project related risks. Develop Supply Chain. Qualifications & Experience Required: 3 years experience in Estimating / QS Relevant Level 7 Degree or Qualification Excellent project management, budgeting, cost management, and financial analysis skills Strong Microsoft Office package skills and knowledge Benefits Salary of €55,000 - €60,000 Contributary pension from Day 1 Income protection Death in Service INDHPF Skills: Estimating Budgeting Financial Analysis
