We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a well-established food manufacturing company based in Cavan. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of their financial operations and maintaining strong relationships with their vendors. It is a full time permanent role, full time on site. Key Responsibilities: Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including verifying, coding, and processing invoices. Ensure timely and accurate payments to suppliers, maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies efficiently. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper documentation and approval processes. Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities related to accounts payable. Maintain accurate and organized financial records. Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function. Utilize finance and IT systems to enhance reporting, analysis, and workflow efficiency. Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years in an accounts payable or similar finance role, preferably within the manufacturing or FMCG sector. Education: Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred. Skills: Strong proficiency with finance and accounting software. Solid understanding of financial principles and accounts payable processes. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to analyze data and resolve discrepancies effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with IT systems and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel). Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment. Why Join Them?
