Overview Lohan & Donnelly Consulting Engineers have a vacancy for a Graduate Structural/Civil Engineer or Technician to work with our team on a diverse range of engineering projects. Our current projects include a number of Large Residential Developments as both apartment developments and housing developments, numerous structural & civil alterations and vertical extensions projects, temporary works schemes for contractors, maturation warehousing and numerous planning applications of a broad nature.
Working in Lohan & Donnelly will guarantee a wide range of competencies for a developing engineer or technician, with the technical competencies acquired from structural analysis and civils design with different types of structures and materials being complimented by the communication skills achieved through collaborating with architects, clients and contractors.
Based in Mountjoy Square, we are well served by public transport with Luas, Bus and Rail all within short distance.
Job Description As a Graduate Structural Engineer, Civil Engineer or Technician, you will be working on the delivery of information for construction projects and contributing to planning applications. Depending on your qualification, you will be responsible for scheme design, load path analysis, stability analysis, element design, drainage design and coordination of drawing production. You will be responsible for site inspections and servicing projects on site by attending site meetings, ensuring that information production adheres to construction programmes.
Candidate requirements A Level 8 degree qualification in Structural or Civil Engineering is required for an Engineer position.
A Level 7 diploma qualification in a construction-based course is required for a Technician position.
Relevant experience with design software, draughting software or similar CAD or BIM platforms is welcome but not necessary.
Good verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and works well within a team.
Technical understanding of engineering and aptitude for problem solving.
