EHS Advisor Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced EHS Advisor to join their team on a prominent project with a global healthcare and life sciences organisation.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with EHS policies, procedures, and legislation on construction sites.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identifying risks and ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety briefings to site staff and contractors.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents; produce reports with root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
  • Develop, review, and update risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and safe systems of work.
  • Maintain site EHS records, documentation, and reporting systems in line with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Support site managers and supervisors with EHS planning and implementation.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and environmental responsibility across all site personnel.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and attend site meetings when required.
  • Monitor environmental compliance including waste management, noise, and dust control.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Minimum 3+ years' experience in an EHS role within the construction sector.
  • Level 8 qualification (e.g., degree or equivalent) in Health & Safety or a related discipline.
  • Full clean driving licence ability to travel to multiple sites.
  • Strong understanding of construction safety legislation and best practices.
  • Proven ability to influence and engage with all levels of site staff and management.
  • Excellent report writing, communication, and IT skills.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.
