Job Description

Imagine a career where your mapping and spatial analysis skills are actively shaping the future of renewable energy, ecology, planning and environmental projects. That's one of the key advantages of joining our team. As a Graduate GIS Technician, you will join our growing GIS team, where your expertise will be vital for both internal MKO projects and external client deliverables.

As part of the team, you’ll get to work on exciting, impactful projects across the country, putting your formal spatial training and technical skills to the test. Producing high-quality maps and performing critical spatial analysis.

You will be supported every step of the way by the team and further your personal and professional development with a structured training plan.

You’ll work across a diverse range of projects, where your input matters. You will be responsible for:

- Producing high-quality spatial outputs (maps, charts, and data visualisations) for environmental reports and client presentations.
- Conducting complex spatial analysis to inform environmental design and impact assessment.
- Managing, converting, and organising large, complex datasets, ensuring project data integrity and organisation.
- Collaborating closely with our multidisciplinary teams (Planning, Ecology, Ornithology) to ensure accurate and timely map production.
- Assisting in the development and maintenance of our internal GIS standards and best practices.

- Candidates must be available to commence work immediately.
- Our Graduate GIS Technician role is open to those who have graduated in the last two years with a degree in GIS, Environmental Science, Geography or other related fields, equipping you with the necessary skills to undertake the role.
