With a broad range of competency and capability, KPMG Construction Advisory provide a one-stop shop from concept to completion where clients’ key objectives are successfully delivered upon. Our services include: Project Management, Cost Consultancy, Mechanical & Electrical Cost Management and Consultancy Services. You will be joining a niche practice area within KPMG, with a team of 50 people and growing.

Our Cost Managers assist the Senior Cost Manager in managing the ‘day to day’ operations of their projects.

We are inviting applications for a Cost Manager to join our Head Office growing team. We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual who demonstrates strong organizational/managerial skills and a pro-active attitude. Good reporting and communication skills, the ability to work in a team environment and computer literacy are essential.
Duties include:
- Assisting on feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
- Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan
- Produce full quantities measure
- Tendering and procuring, including managing the pre-qualification stage
- Dealing effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes
- Taking personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes place
- Producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the client
- Negotiating and agreeing final accounts
- Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
What you'll need to succeed:
- Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management
- Understanding a variety of project types/sizes/sectors: Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Residential
- Understanding of RIAI and GCCC standard forms of contract
- Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on procurement, cost, value and risk, not just cost in isolation
- Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills
