ProSource Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer on behalf of a progressive, award-winning consulting engineering firm to join its growing team. With a strong track record in low-energy, high-performance building design , this firm is recognised as a leader in BIM adoption and sustainable engineering solutions .
As a Senior Engineer , you’ll lead mechanical design delivery on projects across diverse sectors, mentor junior engineers, and play a key role in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions.
Responsibilities Lead and manage full mechanical design packages for projects of all sizes
Ensure quality control and consistency across mechanical engineering deliverables
Manage project budgets, cost control, and client expectations
Supervise and mentor engineers, fostering technical excellence and collaboration
Represent the business at client meetings, site surveys, and project reviews
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Irish and international offices
Provide technical leadership in water services, HVAC, heating/LTHW, fuel, drainage, and BMS systems
Stay up to date with Irish Building Regulations and ensure compliance in all designs
Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
Minimum 6 years’ experience in building services consultancy design
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and design delivery across project lifecycles
Familiar with thermal modelling, dynamic energy modelling, and energy assessments (advantageous)
BIM and commercial project experience a strong plus
Chartered Engineer (preferred) or actively pursuing chartership
Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
Commercial awareness and client-facing ability
