We are hiring Staff Nurse-Cardiology Day Ward into our Hospital Client in Cork, Ireland. Title: Staff Nurse-Cardiology Day Ward Job: Full time/Permanent Location: Cork Responsibilities: Provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac diagnostics and day procedures Perform pre-assessment, admission, and discharge of day-case cardiology patients Monitor patients post-procedure, including ECG, telemetry, and vital signs Assist with cardiac procedures such as angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker checks, and stress testing Recognise and respond promptly to cardiac emergencies Administer medications safely, including IV therapies Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and follow-up care Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adherence to hospital policies Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care Support infection prevention, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives Requirements: Registration with NMBI or equivalent regulatory body Minimum 2 years post-graduate acute nursing experience (essential) Up-to-date knowledge of Cath Lab and cardiac procedures (desirable) Telemetry experience (advantageous) In-depth understanding of cardiac conditions Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care Excellent contemporary nursing skills and clinical practice knowledge Strong organisational abilities Benefits: Flexible working options Defined contribution pension scheme / PRSA Bike to Work and Taxsaver travel schemes Employee Assistance & Occupational Health services Discounted staff meals On-site/nearby staff parking (role-dependent) Strong support for training, development, and career progression Graduate Nurse Programme with structured learning We will not share your profile without confirming with you first.
