We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fruit & Veg Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fresh produce department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fresh food, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Fruit & Veg department, ensuring quality, freshness, and availability of produce.
- Maintain high merchandising and display standards to enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Monitor stock levels, manage ordering, and minimise waste while ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
- Train, motivate, and lead a team to achieve sales and operational targets.
- Ensure all health & safety and food safety regulations are adhered to.
- Monitor market trends and seasonal produce to maximise sales opportunities.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.
- Work closely with suppliers to maintain strong relationships and ensure the best quality produce.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a retail or fresh produce environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Passion for fresh food and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of HACCP and food safety regulations is an advantage.
