€55K - €75K Basic Salary (dependent on experience)

About The Role
As a PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer, you will work from a home office and be responsible for:
Supporting clients within Ireland and on occasions the UK when needed.
Spending 20-30% of your time on customer sites (pharmaceutical manufacturers across your territory) with the rest of your time providing automation and troubleshooting support via phone and remote access.
Corrective maintenance and disaster recovery on Rockwell ControlLogix and Scada Systems.
System configuration and automation upgrades and amends.
Operating in a methodical approach to troubleshoot electrical and automation machine failures.
Completing service visit reports.
Communicating effectively both internally and externally.
About You
The successful candidate will be based in Ireland and possess at least 2 years' experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs such as Siemens, Rockwell etc.
Candidates must speak fluent English, hold a valid local driving license and the rights to work. My client doesn’t offer sponsorship.
You must be comfortable with travel and nights away when needed.
A degree level education is beneficial, but not essential, as is experience working in a cleanroom or sterile environment.
It is, however, essential you have a logical and methodical approach to finding faults and be comfortable with PLC troubleshooting and programming.
