Head of IT Monday Friday, Onsite Role Optimize Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a dynamic and innovative manufacturing company dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions through cutting-edge technology and efficient processes. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and strategic Head of IT to lead the company's IT function and drive technological advancements that align with business objectives. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of IT will be responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure, managing complex IT projects, and ensuring seamless integration of new systems into the company's technology landscape. This role will play a key part in shaping the IT strategy, driving digital transformation, and optimizing operational efficiency across the organisation. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement the company's IT strategy to support business goals. Oversee and maintain the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, security, and cloud-based solutions. Lead and manage IT projects, including system upgrades, software implementations, and network enhancements. Ensure seamless integration of new systems and technologies into the existing IT architecture. Manage and optimize ERP systems to improve operational efficiency and decision-making. Analyse costs, value, and risks of IT to advise the CEO and board on suggested actions and investment opportunities. Set annual improvement objectives and strategies for IT advancements. Provide leadership and direction to the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Develop and maintain IT policies, security protocols, and compliance frameworks. Collaborating with the R&D Team to enhance production process efficiency through Lean methodologies, robotics, and automation technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology solutions that drive business growth. Ensure data integrity, cybersecurity, and robust disaster recovery planning. Stay up to date with emerging technologies and recommend advancements to maintain a competitive edge. Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships, and procurement processes. The Successful Candidate Will Have: Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. 5+ years of experience in a similar Lead role (Manufacturing exposure advantageous). Strong background in IT infrastructure management, including servers, networks, and cloud computing. Extensive experience leading and delivering IT projects from conception to implementation. Expertise in system integration, ensuring seamless interoperability between business applications and infrastructure. Strong understanding of cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and Microsoft 365 solutions. Proficiency with ERP systems, business intelligence tools (Power BI), and automation platforms (PowerApps). Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and strategic mindset. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A track record of driving digital transformation initiatives within an organization. Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or MCSE are highly desirable.
