About the Intern placement:

The successful intern would gain an understanding of the role of medical affairs within AstraZeneca Ireland. The medical affairs department strives to uncover, understand, and fulfil unmet medical needs through the generation of scientific evidence and to deliver scientific value to key stakeholders and patients.

About the Opportunity:

The role is suitable to those about to graduate and broadly includes the following key components:

- International congress planning support and documentation.
- Support medical review of promotional and medical materials.
- Advisory Board planning and documentation support.
- Internal capability development: training materials, support training session.
- Assist in KEE speakers’ approval.
- Other activities as guided by a mentor.

Qualification, Skills & Experience:

Required:

- Ongoing studies in life sciences, pharmacy, nursing or medical related fields.
- Strong planning and organisation skills.
- Basic proficiency in use of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Quick learner with good collaboration and teamworking skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and confident communicating with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Desire to work in Pharmaceutical Medical Affairs.

Desirable:

- Clinical experience.
- Customer facing or project management experience.
