Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Grade Medical Scientist Quality & I.T Co-Ordinator to oversee quality assurance initiatives and maintain I.T systems within our laboratory. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and improving laboratory processes through effective quality management and technological support.

About the Role:

  • Oversight of quality assurance initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Maintenance of I.T systems relevant to laboratory operations, data management, and automation.
  • Operational involvement with a quality management system, including document control.
  • Implementation of laboratory accreditation standards and quality assurance practices.
  • Support for the development and maintenance of laboratory policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • CORU registration is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years clinical post qualification experience as a Medical Scientist in a multidisciplinary or blood sciences laboratory is necessary.
  • Proficiency in I.T systems relevant to laboratory operations, data management, and automation is essential.
  • At least 2 years' experience of operational involvement with a quality management system, including document control, is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of laboratory accreditation standards and quality assurance practices is necessary.
  • A post graduate degree in IT or scientific field is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality assurance initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage and maintain I.T systems to support laboratory operations, data management, and automation.
  • Provide technical support for the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to laboratory accreditation standards and quality assurance practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve laboratory processes and ensure efficient use of resources.
