GPC Finance is working with a reputable firm in Cork. This is a brilliant opportunity to develop your skills within a client facing and varied General Practice role which will be heavily focused on providing business advisory, accounting, audit and tax services, working with a client base spanning across many sectors.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Assisting with full cycle client management across accounts, tax and audit.
2. Running reports and preparing analyses to support management.
3. Completing and filing of VAT and tax returns.
4. Assisting in the preparation for and completion of company audits.
5. Developing and maintaining relationships with clients.
6. Providing advice to clients on tax planning and efficiencies.
7. Assisting with the preparation of customer statements to ensure that customer accounts are kept up to date.
8. Assist with the month-end and year-end close process, preparing reconciliation and financial analysis files for review by management.
9. Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts and compiling reports of monthly financial results.

Ideal Candidate:

1. Working towards completion of ACA, ACCA, CPA.
2. 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
3. Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to work under time pressure and to prioritise tasks effectively.
4. Strong attention to detail with a good level of numerical, logical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Experience with various IT systems, good excel skills and an understanding of accounting software.
