Position Overview
The Custom Silicon Solutions (CSS) team seeks a highly motivated and technology-focused Applications Engineer to join our silicon technology development team. The role is solutions-oriented and passionate about technology, with strong problem-solving and communication skills. It supports customers’ design‑in process with technical expertise, development tools, reference designs, documentation, and technical design‑in support, and develops and executes system‑level validation testing at both the pre‑silicon (FPGA) and post‑silicon phases of product development.

Responsibilities

Design and implementation of hardware and software platforms for product validation, evaluation, and demonstration.

Develop reference and recommended designs to support customers through their design‑in process.

Support internal teams and customers in the resolution of technical issues.

Contribute to the generation of customer‑facing documentation such as datasheets, specifications, and user guides.

Design, bench testing, and debugging of electronic circuits.

Develop and execute system‑level validation testing at both pre‑silicon (FPGA) and post‑silicon phases.

Minimum Qualifications

Honours Degree in Electrical/Electronic, Electronic & Computer Engineering or similar.

3 to 5 years industry experience in an engineering role.

Essential Skills

Excellent analog, digital, mixed‑signal, and power circuit theory knowledge.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Fluent spoken and written English.

Ability to work in a fast‑paced collaborative team environment.

Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools.

Desired Skills

Experience with Python software development.

Knowledge of semiconductor development and validation process.

Experience with FPGA development.
