Overview PepsiCo Graduate Programme is a 24‑month program designed for high‑potential undergraduate students, preparing you for a successful future. We are looking to hire an Automation Engineering Graduate to join the team in Cork, Ireland starting next year.
Who We Are We are the concentrate team in PepsiCo (PGCS) working across Beverage, Nutrition and Snacks categories to deliver concentrate for many of PepsiCo’s mega brands including Gatorade, 7Up and Pepsi.
We are at the heart of PepsiCo products, sourcing ingredients to manufacture more than 1,200 recipes for our brands.
We are a global organisation, situated in 15 locations across 6 countries offering careers in various functions from Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Finance, R&D, HR and IT.
We collaborate in our global organisation and are passionate about creating and delivering much‑loved household brands to markets across the world.
Responsibilities Provide day‑to‑day support to the site control system while shadowing senior automation engineers, troubleshooting incidents with maintenance and operations.
Support the execution of Automation Engineering Projects with the Global Automation team.
Assist plants in achieving their KPIs through support of the productivity program.
Understand and support the development of Automation standards, including technical and commercial aspects of projects.
Build supplier relationships with key vendors.
Understand and implement Change Controls.
Promote the use of Automation to improve operations efficiency.
Participate in Global Automation Engineering Team meetings, sharing and leveraging best practices from other PGCS sites.
Learn and leverage latest cutting‑edge technologies in key areas of the business.
Learn how to present to and communicate with PGCS management.
Develop a network of contacts and leverage expertise when required.
Build capability and develop subject matter expertise in key areas.
Qualifications Degree qualification in Automation, Physics & Instrumentation or Mechatronic Engineering (other relevant experience considered).
Interest in technology (SQL, Historian and Cisco switches).
Interest in Cybersecurity.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work quickly.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work at all levels in an international organisation, both individually and as part of a multi‑functional team.
Excellent IT skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Results‑oriented and committed to achieving personal and project objectives.
Self‑starter with a can‑do attitude.
Ability to work to deadlines within our environment.
