My client a public body within city centre Dublin have an opening for an experienced Facilities Manager.

Coordinates services like cleaning, security, and maintenance to ensure the headquarters building's layout and resources are used effectively, managing budgets and overseeing health and safety standards. Their role involves project management, coordinating with various service providers, and ensuring facilities meet the needs of the organization's employees and operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Service Management: Oversee and manage a range of services, including accommodation, catering, reception, waste disposal, security, and cleaning.
- Budget Management: Monitor and manage budgets, costs, and expenditures for relevant projects.
- Health and Safety: Ensure that all health and safety standards are met and carried out to the appropriate levels.
- Building Maintenance: Direct staff and oversee the upkeep and maintenance of buildings, grounds, equipment, and supplies.
- Space Planning: Ensure the building's layout and space are utilized to their full potential, meeting the requirements of the organization.
- Project Management: Manage projects, including sourcing and tendering for services and facilities for external use.
- Coordination: Coordinate the physical workplace with the work of the organization and its employees.

Skills and Experience

- Business Operations: Experience in business operations is beneficial.
- Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects from initiation to completion.
- Building Maintenance: Experience in general maintenance and repair is valuable.
- Health & Safety: A strong understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
