The Senior Technical Advisor will provide technical support and expertise in the areas of Building Physics, Fire, Acoustics and Energy Efficiency. They will provide technical guidance and expertise to construction professionals and internal Teams within the correct guidelines and standards.

Role Accountabilities

Handling of Technical Sales to internal and external customers, including active promotion of full product ranges, by telephone, e-mail, fax and post, on a daily basis.

Support Gyproc/Isover sales & specification teams (work with specifiers, merchants, builders and representative bodies on all matters relating to building systems.

Maintain a high standard of customer service

Key Responsibilities

- Consultation with Architects and other industry professionals.
- Consulting with Gyproc/Isover Technical sales & specification teams
- KPI Monthly reporting
- Weekly reporting on trends analysis, commercial issues etc
- Consult in the formation of design solution work, for specific projects.
- Development and delivery of PowerPoint presentations to Specifying Bodies and Merchant customers, as necessary.
- Proficient utilisation of industry tools, including but not limited to BIM, Cad, U-value calculator, Thermal modelling and WUFI/Hygrothermal analysis software to generate project relevant information for specifiers and customers.
- Professionally develop and maintain a working knowledge of Safety, Building Regulations & other directives, regulations and standards which apply to the business.
- Undertake internal and external training as provided to maintain own compliance with international, Group standards and legal regulations.
- Cultivate customer intimacy.
- Periodic site visits - sales and specification representatives to customer sites and experience how best to meet the customer's requirements.
- Develop an internal and external network that enables you to share and receive best practice within the industry.
- Build open and engaging collaborative working relationships both internally and externally.
- Maintaining & sharing a detailed 'library' of such technical information and literature
- Project Management
- Log and action maintenance requests for offices.
- Any other duties appropriate to the position as may be assigned from time to time
- Review of published and internal technical guidance.

Essential Qualifications required to fulfil the role

- Relevant construction professional qualification
- Strong ICT skills (particularly Microsoft Office)
- AutoCAD
- Revit experience desirable.

Specific work experience required to essentially fulfil the role

- Demonstrable strong technical experience within the construction industry.
- Minimum 5 years Technical support experience in business to business (b2b) sector.
