European Transport Planner

Title: Transport Planner
Location: Co. Meath
Type: Full-time, permanent, office-based, Mon-Fri 08:00 - 17:00 Hrs
Package: €40-45k + Pension

A Meath-based family-run transport business that caters for both national and international transport, is currently seeking to hire an experienced transport planner with domestic and international planning experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Effectively scheduling and monitoring job orders received from clients using transport management software.
2. Coordinate and organise loads/orders with the transportation team and drivers.
3. Plan, manage and consolidate loads and routes to ensure cost-effective transportation and that orders are completed on time.
4. Work closely with drivers to ensure jobs are in line with customer requirements and specifications.
5. Engage directly with clients to provide regular updates on job collection/delivery times.
6. Routine Administration & General Office duties.

Minimum Requirements:

1. European road transport route planning is essential.
2. Excellent problem-solving skills with clear decision-making and the ability to work within a team on multiple tasks, and being self-reliant and self-directed.
3. Confident communicator with great organisational skills and the ability to present themselves clearly & effectively.
4. Good work ethic with a genuine interest in transport.
5. Excellent computer skills are essential.
