Compensation and Work Schedule
- Rate of pay: €13.50 per hour for the first 20 training shifts; €14.80 - €16.56 per hour thereafter, plus performance-related pay.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday. Both part-time and full-time positions available.
Role Overview
The role involves informing, inspiring, and recruiting members of the public through door-to-door fundraising to support Oxfam Ireland’s initiatives.
Job Purpose
Direct Dialogue fundraising is crucial for helping Oxfam Ireland meet its fundraising targets and maximize benefits for those in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit donors door-to-door to support Oxfam Ireland through regular donations via direct debit;
- Engage and inform the Irish public about Oxfam Ireland’s work;
- Represent Oxfam Ireland professionally, courteously, and in accordance with the fundraising code of conduct.
Candidate Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong spoken English;
- A passion for Oxfam Ireland’s mission; knowledge of emergency and developmental aid issues is a plus but not essential;
- Outgoing personality, enjoy public interaction, and comfortable working outdoors in a team;
- Experience in direct dialogue fundraising is advantageous but not mandatory, as full training is provided;
- Access to an internet-enabled phone for banking procedures;
- A full, clean driving license is beneficial but not required.
