About the Role:
The Documentation team at Sitecore is looking for a Programmer Writer in Dublin to write developer documentation for the Sitecore Search product.
What You'll Do:
1. Write API documentation and conceptual developer documentation for the Sitecore Search product
2. Write and curate code samples and troubleshooting tips
3. Collaborate with product managers, SMEs, and developer advocates to gather input for developer documentation
4. Coordinate with the Sitecore Search junior technical writer on helping update documentation
5. Use community feedback to improve our documentation.
What you need to succeed:
1. 3+ years in technical writing, or a developer background with a demonstrated interest in technical writing
2. Experience with APIs and SDKs and their documentation
3. Knowledge of current SaaS and web service technologies such as REST APIs, GraphQL, JavaScript / TypeScript
4. Strong command of the English language
5. Intellectual curiosity of new technologies and ability to communicate their inherent complexities in a simple, straightforward fashion
6. Interest in search products and their capabilities
7. Demonstrate a structured and independent approach to completing your assignments
8. Ability to follow directions and guidelines provided by the Senior Programmer Writer and editors.
Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:
1. Experience writing documentation in Paligo, Markdown or Markdoc.
