Join a highly respected food production company with over a century of success in delivering excellence. Located in the Kilkenny/Carlow region, this EPA IEL-licensed site (PO1069-01) is looking for an EHS Manager to lead its environmental, health, and safety operations.

With a strong focus on sustainability, safety, and community engagement, this company combines tradition with innovation to remain at the forefront of the industry. This role will also involve occasional travel to nearby sites in Kilkenny and Wicklow.

Commutable from: New Ross, Carlow, Enniscorthy, and Kilkenny.

Your Role as EHS Manager

As the EHS Manager, you will report directly to the CEO and board of directors. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with EHS standards, driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of safety.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Environmental Compliance: Align Environmental Management System policies with IEL and EMS requirements.

- Operational Oversight: Manage the operations of an Integrated Constructed Wetlands (ICW) system.

- Promoting Safety Culture: Lead by example, championing a zero-harm mindset across all teams.

- Audits & Reviews: Conduct site inspections, EHS audits, and manage visits from certification and regulatory bodies.

- Risk Management: Identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

- Data-Driven Initiatives: Maintain detailed documentation and use analytics to drive continuous improvement.

- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with regulatory bodies, local communities, and other stakeholders.

What You Bring

- Experience: 5+ years in EHS, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

- Qualifications: Relevant third-level qualification in EHS.

- Standards Knowledge: Proficiency in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.

- Soft Skills: Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

- Professional Memberships: Evidence of CPD (IOSH / IEMA / IIRSM).

- Essential: A valid driver’s license.
