ICT Project Manager Location: Dublin 2 Position: Full-time, Permanent Hybrid Working: 2- 3 days per week onsite, flexible. Salary: Circa 90k eur DOE Reports to: Chief Information Officer (CIO) Client Sector: Commercial semi-state organisation Role Overview The ICT Project Manager will be responsible for managing and delivering ICT projects that align with the organisation's strategic objectives. This role involves coordinating business ICT demand, ensuring effective project planning and execution, managing resources, and maintaining oversight of project risks and quality assurance. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to drive projects forward using industry-standard methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall. Key Responsibilities Coordinate new Business ICT demands through a structured Demand Management Process. Direct and manage all stages of project delivery, from planning to completion. Develop project plans, monitor progress, resolve issues, and take corrective actions when needed. Prepare and manage budget proposals, oversee resource allocation, and track expenditure. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and in alignment with the ICT roadmap. Manage dependencies and interfaces between projects and business units. Implement quality assurance measures to uphold project integrity. Report on project progress to governance teams, stakeholders, and senior management. Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and ensure escalation protocols are followed. Oversee project documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and accessibility. Facilitate the transition of projects into business-as-usual operations. Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders, setting expectations and managing project deliverables effectively. Required Qualifications & Skills Relevant qualification in Programme/Project Management. Minimum of 7+ years of experience managing business ICT programmes in large organisations. Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or other project management methodologies. Advanced risk management skills, with the ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks proactively. Demonstrated ability to engage and manage expectations of diverse stakeholders, including sponsors, end-users, and vendors. Experience with change management principles to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of project outcomes. Familiarity with ICT technologies, systems, and tools relevant to project delivery. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve project disputes and challenges. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration and team cohesion. Ability to track project progress using KPIs and data analytics. A proactive approach to learning from past projects and implementing best practices. Strong leadership and decision-making capabilities. Experience working in a multi-vendor and cross-functional team environment. Expertise in business case development and budget management.
