- Work closely with site management to ensure on-time, budget-conscious project delivery and proactively identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support contract administration, including change management, risk analysis, and preparation of client-facing cost reports.
Key Responsibilities for Graduate SHESQ Advisors:

- Conduct site inductions and produce monthly safety performance statistics.
- Champion behaviour-based safety initiatives through the Culture Development Programme.
- Perform site audits and inspections to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Stay updated on safety legislation and ensure personnel have required training records.
- Investigate incidents and non-conformances, completing necessary reports.
- Identify safety impacts and implement appropriate controls.
- Maintain accessible safety and environmental records.
- Prepare and deliver toolbox talks and contribute to monthly safety meetings.
- Review subcontractor safety documentation for compliance.
What We’re Looking For:
- A relevant third-level degree (minimum 2.2) in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or SHESQ-related fields.
- Construction or engineering experience is desirable but not essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD (for Engineers).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to Murphy's core values: Always Deliver, Continually Improve, One Murphy, Respect, Integrity & Accountability, Never Harm.
- Full, clean driving licence (required due to the nature of the role).
We have projects across Ireland and the UK, offering a range of site-based and office-based opportunities. As part of the programme, you may rotate between projects, gaining exposure to various aspects of engineering, quantity surveying, and SHESQ.
Recruitment Process:
Our process includes three stages:
- Application (CV submission)
- Online Interview
- In-person Interview
If you require any reasonable adjustments during the process, please contact us at hr@murphygroup.ie
