JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Trainee Sales Executive in the Pig Meat industry Location: Edenderry Department: Sales Reports to:Head of Sales An amazing opportunity become a future key player in the commercial and sales environment for the meat industry. Job Summary: Reporting to the Head of Sales the Trainee Sales Executive will be part sales team. On completion of a detailed product and industry on the job training programme you will delivery and drive the sales of Rosderra products to local and global markets. Responsibilities will include, the development of sales channels, sales negotiations, account management, customer relationship development and sales delivery. As part of the sales team the trainee sales executive will involve themselves in day to business activities, keeping close to operation, ensuring that all available products are sold at the best prices, to premium customers, in terms of both geographical region and product type. The Trainee sales executive programme over a period of 18 months will ensure the candidate is provided with a deep and practical understanding of the pork meat industry. From the farms through the slaughter and processing elements in our productions plants the candidates will develop a complete understanding of all product options, including the value add activities undertaken by Rosderra and the wider market. Additionally they will learn the food safety and regulatory requirements of the pig meat industry. Finally an understanding of the logistics and transport which are required will be provided. When complete the trainee sales executive will be fully equipped to begin learning the selling, commercial and customer relationships activities of the business, understanding the global market space, the product options and customer base. Responsibilities: To learn all elements of the pig meat processing process Gain a deep and practical understanding of the industry Familiarisation with all product options and variations Develop a complete understanding of the sales process, commercial arrangements, and margin requirements. Achieve best value for the business in all sales and contracts. Ensure relationships are at the highest level with Daily/Weekly contact by telephone together with regular visits as required. Identify possible new products in conjunction with NPD Complete sales administration Acts as the sales negotiator for assigned clients and products Delivery of Gross Margin on a Daily/Weekly/Annual Basis Achieve forecasted Sales Volumes by Customer/Region Participation in Production Planning process Price Compliance: Ensure price compliance is in line with agreed price targets. Assist in revenue collection in conjunction with credit management Ensure Credit notes are raised weekly through agreed procedures. Confirm all orders with agreed pricing to Customers on completion of transactions. Assist in Master file Maintenance in SAP Log all customer complaints and ensure proper reporting and follow up Develop relationships with potential new Customers and competitors. Responsibility for finished goods stocks;both fresh and frozen. Ensure compliance with correct documentation as directed by Finance. Regular communication with, planning dispatch, transport to ensure Customer requirements are adhered to at all times. Position Requirements This position will suit candidates with drive and ambition, who are willing to come into a business and learn an industry in a hands on manner. Willingness to learn and develop in a commercial sales environment Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build and maintain relationships Good numerical ability Planned and organised, with a good attention to detail Ability to negotiate and sell. Strong written and oral communication skills.
