Our client is a successful start-up operating within the engineering sector. Currently experiencing a growth in new business, they are seeking a Newly Qualified Accountant to work alongside the Finance Director to grow and develop the finance function. This is a broad hands-on management accounting role. As the candidate will be joining at a stage when the company is relatively young and in development mode, the role represents an opportunity to add value and make a strong contribution to the continued growth of the business. Offers significant upward career progression. Duties will include: Preparation of monthly management accounts for group companies. Assist senior management with budgeting, systems development, and tax planning activities across the group Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and reconciled accurately and on a timely basis. Manage inter-company Develop and document business processes and accounting policies Ongoing review and improvement of Internal Financial Controls Management and development of the finance team Ensure organisation is compliant with Taxation and Statutory obligations Manage Year-end Audit and interaction with auditors Other ad hoc duties and projects as required Candidate Profile Role will suit a pro-active candidate who is comfortable interacting at senior levels within a business. Candidate should be a qualified accountant, with excellent IT and inter-personal skills and a pro-active can do attitude. Client will also consider an accountant making their 1st post qualified move from practice to industry. An attractive remuneration & benefits package will be offered to the successful candidate.
