Head of Strategic Programme Stakeholder Engagement

We are the people behind Ireland's electricity grid. We operate the power system with world leading levels of variable asynchronous renewable generation, ensuring that everyone has power when they need it. But that's not all, we are now transforming the power system for future generations.
And that's just the beginning of our story. We have a critical purpose. The purpose is to transform the power system to enable our society to reduce our carbon emissions and meet our climate change and net zero ambitions.
Be part of the transformation
The Opportunity
EirGrid Group has developed an ambitious Business Strategy to respond to the unprecedented level of change and opportunity in the electricity industry, aligned with the Government's policies including its Climate Action Plan. Our Purpose is to Transform the Power System for Future Generations and our primary goal is to collaborate with the Island's Electricity Sector on Sustainability and Decarbonisation.
The role of the Chief Transformation and Technology Office (CTTO) is to vision, lead, transform, digitise, deliver and support the transformational programme to deliver the power system and market to 2030 and beyond maximising the integration of renewables in a sustainable way at an affordable cost taking on board the voices of all aspects of our society. With an ultimate target of having a decarbonised power system in advance of 2050.
As a result, EirGrid is tasked with delivering complex programmes of work over a relatively short period of time. These multi-million-euro projects are tightly coupled and have historically been delivered through large upgrades of core business capabilities and systems, supported by internal resources and external vendors. For EirGrid to deliver the major programme of work by 2030 to meet government ambitious emissions targets, we need to change our IT system delivery approach to one that is more closely aligned to a DevOps Delivery Model that facilitates the building of quality IT systems and tools at high velocity while continuing to operate the electricity markets and power systems safely and securely.
The Head of Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management is a customer centric role serving the business functions of EirGrid Group.

We will look to you to plan and manage stakeholder collaboration and communications events including, forums, workshops, training seminars and meetings facilitating higher quality decision making, a better understanding of industry stakeholders' positions, concerns and impacts, and improved risk management and mitigation for Strategic Delivery Programmes.
You will be a member of the EirGrid extended leadership team and will proactively contribute to the overall achievement of business objectives. You will lead, mentor, and manage the stakeholder engagement team and foster a collaborative and innovative team environment that encourages professional growth and development.
