Department OverviewThe Grant Thornton FAAS department is a specialist team serving complex large-scale and Multinational Companies (MNCs). Our multicultural teams focus on being a centralised point of contact for global requirements.
Grant Thornton Global Payroll Solutions team provides dedicated specialists focused on delivering Global payroll solutions to our clients.
Job RoleThis role suits an experienced, motivated payroll professional willing to further develop their career in all aspects of Global Payroll Solutions.
You'll work with our managed service team to deliver payroll services to small, medium and large multinational companies across the globe.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Co-ordinate client payroll processing via our Global Payroll Platform Payzaar, working with member firm payroll teams.
- Manage payroll issue resolution utilising the international network of Grant Thornton firms.
- Support clients in short term project engagements, payroll audits and staff shortages.
- Lead implementation teams for new client onboardings through payroll transition from current providers.
- Manage projects to improve service delivery via automation & process improvements.
- Provide onsite and offsite client payroll support with end-to-end processing of domestic and international payrolls.
- Recruit, develop and train junior team members.
- Monitor KPIs and adherence to service delivery schedules for clients.
- Billing and client take on administration.
- Involvement in client proposals.
- Proven track record in a payroll role with intention to pursue international payroll career.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
- Strong, articulate communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and keep abreast of developments.
- Highly organised and efficient.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Experience in people management.
- Stakeholder management including communication and influencing.
- Exposure to international and high volume payrolls.
- Knowledge of end to end payroll processing including benefits administration, share based remuneration, statutory payroll regulations and payroll journal entries.
- Experience in automation projects.
- Experience in recruitment of staff.
