(Initially based at Mercedes-Benz North Dublin Navan Road, before relocating to our brand-new flagship dealership in North City Business Park, North Road, Dublin 11 in Q3 2026.) MSL Motor Group is seeking a dynamic and highly capable General Manager to lead the launch and development of Mercedes-Benz North Dublin, a new, purpose-built dealership that marks a landmark moment for both the Group and the Mercedes-Benz brand in Ireland. This state-of-the-art facility will unite our existing Mercedes-Benz North Dublin sales operation on the Navan Road with our Mercedes-Benz dedicated element of our service operation currently based at the MSL Service Centre, North Circular Road, bringing both together into one modern, purpose-built hub at North City Business Park. As the first greenfield Mercedes-Benz dealership in Ireland to be constructed entirely under the MAR20X retail transformation standards, the new site will set a new benchmark for excellence, delivering a customer experience grounded in the pillars of luxury, trust, ease, and respect. The General Manager will play a central role in shaping the culture, standards, and operational foundations of this flagship dealership, overseeing the scaling up of all operations as we transition from two separate locations into a unified centre of excellence. This is a unique opportunity to build, lead, and inspire a high-performing team and to ensure Mercedes-Benz North Dublin opens and operates as one of the leading luxury automotive destinations in the country. As the General Manager, you will hold a significant leadership position reporting directly to the MSL Motor Group Head of Commercial Operations for Mercedes-Benz. With this role, you will be entrusted with comprehensive authority and accountability for managing all facets of the business. Your foremost responsibility will be to lead a highly skilled team, driving profitability, surpassing performance targets, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service. Your role will also encompass strategic planning, as you will be expected to envision the long-term future of Mercedes-Benz North Dublin and demonstrate the initiative and adept management skills necessary to realise this vision. To thrive in this senior management role, you must possess a distinguished track record of accomplishments, reflecting your natural leadership abilities. Furthermore, your substantial experience in the retail motor industry will be invaluable, and you will be required to exhibit a profound understanding of efficiently managing both sales and aftersales operations. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Cultivating a high-performance, collaborative, and empowered leadership culture, effectively influencing and engaging with stakeholders at all organisational levels. Taking charge of the financial targets for the business, ensuring their efficient management and achievement. Overseeing the seamless implementation of Mercedes-Benz Mar20X new corporate identity and customer experience standards within the dealership. Establishing and nurturing a robust sales team, focused on efficient processes and exceptional customer service. Skilfully negotiating and agreeing on yearly sales and aftersales targets with distributors. Demonstrating excellence in operational performance across all key indicators, encompassing sales, aftersales, people management, safety, quality, service, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Ensuring strict adherence to group policies and processes, as directed by the Head of Commercial Operations. Upholding unwavering compliance with Mercedes-Benz brand standards and adeptly navigating through the audit process. Assuming responsibility for the overall maintenance and upkeep of the dealership facility. Safeguarding compliance with Health and Safety Legislation and ISO accreditation standards. SIGNIFICANT COMPETENCIES DRIVING RESULTS Instils a sense of urgency in the dealership team to deliver on sales, aftersales, finance, operations, customer experience and profitability. Reviews performance and progress on a regular basis through metrics and KPIs to ensure the dealership is achieving required results. Maintaining the financial and operational performance of the dealership. Ability to manage, maintain and deliver on multiple targets and objectives both from Mercedes-Benz and MSL Motor Group in sales and aftersales. Maintaining market share with local region and nationally. LEADERSHIP Coordinating regular meetings with the department managers to ensure their profitability and efficiency. Delivering excellent day to day operational performance across all indicators, people, safety, quality, service, efficiency and cost. Completing management performance evaluations regularly and developing short and long-term goals for each department. Working with the management team to implement training and development plans for teams and individuals along with compliance of Mercedes-Benz training requirements. DELIVERING CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE Developing Mercedes-Benz North Dublin as a centre of excellence for the Mercedes-Benz brand. Ensuring that Mercedes-Benz North Dublin delivers a luxury unparalleled customer experience to all customers at all levels. Maintaining the high level of customer satisfaction and building rapport with existing and new customers. Constantly communicating to the Mercedes-Benz North Dublin team customer satisfaction performance along with changing brand and group requirements. Identifies changing customer needs or trends and work to address them. Representing the dealership to major customers and professional associations STRATEGIC Responsibility for the overall reputation of Mercedes-Benz North Dublin Maximising commercial opportunities in all areas of the business. Ensuring maximum efficiency and profitability of the company Delivering excellent day to day operational performance across all indicators, people, safety, quality, service, efficiency and cost. Ability to identify and develop new opportunities for the dealership with in its core region DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Proven experience at a senior management level within the motor industry is essential. A proven and successful track record in the management of sales teams with the desired results achieved. Aftersales management experience is desirable. Experienced in working within a target driven environment. Experience in working in a luxury motor brand is desirable. Experience in the passenger vehicle sector is highly desirable. Proven people management skills and leadership ability. Sound business acumen, and the capability to control costs and increase profits. A strong work ethic with the ability to achieve desired results. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proven ability to work to high standards. Strong IT and administration skills. Ability to work calmly under pressure.
