SiriusXM's new Dublin facility will comprise a workforce primarily focused on software development, automotive technology and engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics. Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high-quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM's streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.

How you'll make an impact:

The Senior Software Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and executing test procedures to ensure that software programs work as intended. This position will be a part of the software development team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a cooperative manner with software engineers, product and program managers.

What you'll do:

1. Work with software engineers, program managers, requirements managers, and other product stakeholders to understand product features and the complete set of requirements to the software.
2. Assist in the development of end-to-end automated & manual test cases.
3. Work closely with development teams to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed.
4. Develop, maintain and execute test cases, ensuring the quality and stability of the system throughout the project.
5. Generate testing completion metrics and analysis, as well as status read-outs to upper management.
6. Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, traceability matrices, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications.
7. Anticipate potential software problems by creating test scenarios.

What you'll need:

1. BS Engineering or SW Engineering, Computer Science, computer Engineering or equivalent experience required. MS Engineering is desired.
2. 3-5+ years' experience in modern C/C++.
3. Troubleshooting - Good skills in identifying and resolving technical and networking/communication issues throughout the entire technology stack.
4. Experience with automated testing methodologies and frameworks, preferably Google Test.
5. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.
6. Skilled in utilizing CMake for efficient build configuration and dependency management.
7. Experience with Git.

Nice to have/preferred:

1. Understanding of dependency injection and Software Design Patterns.
2. Experience with proxy servers and related technologies, Charles (It is an HTTP proxy / HTTP monitor / Reverse Proxy that lets a developer view all of the HTTP and SSL / HTTPS traffic between their machine and the Internet) and virtualization port tools like VSPE, COM2COM.
3. Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., MSTest, NUnit).
4. Experienced in Tools for test development.
5. Experience in test automation.
6. Familiarity with Rust is optional.
7. Experience with Code Coverage tools and procedures is a plus.
8. Some experience with Python.
