Job Description: Home Assistant Position: Home Assistant Location: Family Home, Cork City Salary: €20-24 per hour, based on experience Hours: Mon/Tue/Wed 8am-4pm Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate, energetic, and proactive home care assistant to join our family in Cork City. You will provide personal assistance and support for a family member. This role offers an excellent opportunity for the right people and also students or graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in a home environment. If you have a positive, "can-do" attitude, respectful, sensitive and enjoy staying active and engaging in outdoor activities, this role could be a perfect fit for you. Key Responsibilities: Personal Care: Assist with daily personal support routines. Companionship: Provide social support, engage in conversation, and assist in activities and outings to promote an enjoyable and productive lifestyle. Outdoor Activities: Support, encourage and accompany the individual on walks, outings to parks, cafes/ restaurants and other accessible activities. Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized living environment and cooking meals. Communication: Maintain clear and positive communication with the client and family to ensure the highest level of support. Health & Safety: Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure well-being. Requirements: Excellent English Communication: Strong spoken and written English skills are essential to provide effective care and companionship. Garda Vetting: Must be successfully vetted before starting the role. Positive Attitude: A cheerful, sensitive, proactive approach with a willingness to be flexible and adaptable in supporting daily routines. Experience: Previous experience in a similar care role with young adults is preferred but not mandatory. Reliable & Punctual: Must be dependable and able to work independently during the scheduled hours. Why Join Us?
