My Client are long established & are a leader in the area of Mechanical and Electrical Building Services Engineering. They are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to undertake design work and technical project co-ordination in their growing Dublin office.
The successful Senior Electrical Design Engineer will be a part of a busy team providing design and technical services on various project types, including but not limited to Educational, Residential, Commercial/Office buildings, Retail and Healthcare developments.
The Senior Electrical Engineer will assist the Company Directors with delivery of projects, with effective resourcing of assisting engineers, maintaining technical quality, professionalism, completing all design activities to project milestones / programme. An essential part of this role is to support the Leadership Team with coaching and staff training of engineers, and be involved with collaboration between my clients other Offices
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple technical design packages, managing designer performance and making appropriate technical management responses.
- Full technical responsibility for Electrical Building Services output on projects.
- Responsibility for key client management.
- Provides management, motivation, inspiration, and leadership for other members of the Building Services team.
- Plan for effective project implementation, identifying key factors and leading the project’s technical planning process.
Education & Experience:
- Experience working at a Senior level, able to manage and develop resource to meet project demands whilst maintaining the highest level of technical excellence and regulatory compliance and work as part of the wider engineering team.
- Educated to degree level in mechanical engineering or relevant construction discipline and having gained relevant practical experience in a similar role, with knowledge and experience of Republic of Ireland Regulations. You will have demonstrable knowledge and experience of mechanical design, particularly in relation of Part L, CIBSE comfort criteria across a range of building types.
- You can produce detail design packages of all electrical engineering systems, including:
- Power Distribution
- Lighting Design
- Communication and IT Networks
- Security and Fire Alarm Systems
- You would ideally be Chartered or working towards, have experience across a wide range of sectors including Residential, Healthcare, Education and Commercial.
- An understanding of design software packages, IES and REVIT/BIM would help you success, but training can be provided.
